Transportation Emergency Rescue Committee - Sweden

Translated TERC Sweden was formed to·organize vehicle rescue challenges. The purpose of a vehicle rescue challenge is to allow Swedish rescue services to gather and exchange knowledge, skills and experience, to provide·even better care and extrication at traffic collisions on Swedish roads.

Another goal is to give Swedish emergency services the opportunity to represent and demonstrate Swedish extrication techniques at international challenges for additional opportunities for knowledge and experience.

Australasian World Rescue Organisation

The World Rescue Organisation (WRO) exists solely to save lives and reduce injuries, an objective they achieve in three ways:

  • provide training, resources and systems for rescue services in developing nations through a Developing Nations Program;
  • share technical and theoretical knowledge to establish global best practice through our annual World Rescue Challenge; and
  • provide for the enhancement of individual rescue skills in both member and developing nations through our Rescue Trainer Bursary Program.
